January/February –plan activities for the year and choose the colour schemes for the containers.
March – Bedding plants and compost ordered
April – Maintenance work and planting on projects
April/May – Fundraising plant sale
May/June –Troughs and tubs planted
June to October –Containers watered and fed regularly by volunteers
June to October – Container plants deadheaded | Project areas tended: weeded, hoed, watered
July – Thames & Chilterns in Bloom judging
September – Village Greenfingers Summer Show
September – Harvest Festival in the churches
September – Thames & Chilterns in Bloom awards ceremony
October – Bedding removed from containers and composted then replaced with suitable plants for winter colour
October – Bulbs planted in containers and dull areas around the village
October/November – Work done to clear neglected public areas

Primary School projects take place in term time
Monthly Village Greenfingers meetings with talks by visiting gardening experts
Environmental work and maintenance at Withymead Nature Reserve, Little Meadow Reserve and Hartslock Reserve, mainly by volunteers
